Forehead Lift (Endoscopic Brow Lift)

A forehead lift can reduce the signs of aging in the upper face. Aging of the face can be shown by the eyebrows descending and giving the look of scowling or angered expression. A brow lift refreshes the upper face by raising the brows and opening up the look of the eyes.
This procedure is done endoscopically. Endoscopy is a surgical technique that involves the use of an instrument that allows Dr. Siegel to see the internal structures through three small incisions in the scalp which are easily hidden in the hairline. The muscles between the eyes (known as the Glabellar area) are weakened, which reduces frown lines. A fixation device holds the brow in it’s elevated position. General anesthesia is usually used for this procedure, but IV sedation is an alternative. Recovery is usually 2-3 days. Bruising and swelling is minimal with the use of a head wrap dressing immediately post-op. Other procedures are often combined with a brow lift such as eyelid surgery, botox, or fillers.

“Later that night after my surgery Dr. Siegel called to see how I was doing. I was glad to hear his reassurance that everything was proceeding as expected. Then the next day the nurse called and answered all my questions. I was glad to talk with her to be sure I was following all the instructions correctly”.
